I have a love-hate relationship with filing.
I LOVE it when my paperwork at home is organised. When it's neatly filed away in date order inside colour-coded rindbinders.
But I never get to that point, which is why I HATE filing. I spend days sorting my paperwork into piles, labelling them, moving them, deciding what to keep, deciding what to get rid of...
The days pass. Piles of paper get kicked, knocked over, shuffled by a breeze, mixed up. New paperwork arrives and becomes a new pile to sort.
I realise that I don't have enough ringbinders, and they're not the right colours, and I've got nowhere to put them anyway, and the cardboard dividers are tatty or broken, and now I need to find that ID for that form I need to fill in and of course I can't find it because it's in a pile, and I'm losing the will to live.
