We have spent a lot of time at home recently because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I'm not complaining, because I have a nice, calm home to live in, and a job that has kept me busy Monday to Friday and continued to pay me 100% of my wages. And Laura and I have done some nice things in the evenings and at weekends, mostly walking or playing table tennis or watching something good on Netflix. But there are some times when all we've wanted to do is lie down and rest our eyes for a bit. Times when the whole world wants to communicate with us through a screen. Times when it's been so busy outside on the streets and especially the beach that the thought of going outside, even just for a little bit of exercise, feels like too much. And there's been a lot of pressure on people to do something with all the extra time they're spending at home; DIY, get fit, learn a new skill, start a business... Maybe we don't have to do anything. Maybe staying at home and staying well and staying calm is enough.
