Yesterday I delivered my first ever webcomics workshop to a group of fifteen small business owners.
I started the session with a game that encouraged the group to think about the features of contemporary comic strips, before revealing surprising facts about a few successful and unsuccessful ones.
Next, I demonstrated to the group how to draw a simple black and white comic strip about two people, inspired by an overheard conversation. Then the participants drew their own.
I was delighted to see everyone in the group embrace the challenge and produce at least one finished webcomic to share with the rest of the group. I thought the comics were very funny and imaginative, so I asked the artists if I could photograph their work and show them to you. Here are a few of those comics for you to enjoy.
(Artists, if you don't see your comic below, please feel free to send me a photograph of it, and I will add it to the gallery. Thanks.)
